A jury has awarded a combined total of $500 million in damages to ZeniMax Media.
While the jury for the case said that Oculus did not misappropriate trade secrets from ZeniMax, they did say that Oculus co-founder, Palmer Luckey was in violation of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that he signed with the company back in 2012.
The infamous Oculus Rift is now available for pre-order directly from Oculus’ site for the not-so low price of $599 USD.
Even though the high price tag wasn’t revealed earlier, Oculus founder, Palmer Luckey did say a few weeks ago that the Oculus Rift would come at a premium but he did also say that VR will eventually become something that is affordable for everyone.
Reminder of something I have talked about before: VR will become something everyone wants before it becomes something everyone can afford.
