Microsoft is reportedly bringing back the Fable series

According to Eurogamer, Microsoft reportedly has asked Playground Games, the developers behind the Forza Horizon series to work on a new Fable game.

Original Xbox backward compatibility coming to Xbox One on October 24th

Microsoft has announced that original Xbox backwards compatiblity will be making its way to Xbox One starting tomorrow. The company first announced it at E3 2017.

According to IGN, 13 original Xbox titles will be available at launch including: 

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
  • Fuzion Frenzy
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
  • Psychonauts
  • Dead to Rights
  • Black
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates!
  • Red Faction II
  • BloodRayne 2
  • The King of Fighters Neowave

Each of games will be playable via the original game disc or digitally via the Microsoft Store. The digital pricing for original Xbox games will be between $9.99 USD and $14.99 USD.

Microsoft rebrands Beam streaming as Mixer

It’s almost been a year since Microsoft first acquired Beam, a company all about livestreaming and competitors to Twitch, back in August 2016. Then Beam streaming was integrated into the Windows 10 Creators Update to easily stream games to the platform.

Now Microsoft has rebranded Beam as Mixer (its rumored that Beam was having legal issues with bringing their service worldwide).
