HP has refreshed their OMEN and Pavillion Gaming lineups which includes the world’s first dual-screen gaming laptop, the OMEN X 2S laptop.
HP has made few announcements at CES 2019 included the OMEN X Emperium 65 with Soundbar, an AMOLED display option for the Spectre x360 15 and more.
LG has announced that they’ve developed an open source of their webOS platform.
Virtual reality is still in its infancy but over the past couple of years, it has rapidly been increasing in popularity and the technology used in headsets. When Microsoft announced Windows Mixed Reality along with headsets, they are essentially paving the way to bring virtual reality headsets to the masses.

Nowadays, more people are using their smartphones to take all their photos. Partly because it is super easy to capture photos and videos with and it’s always within arm’s reach. In the past few years, there has also been a rise in film photography, more specifically Polaroid photos (you know, the camera that allows you to print your photos instantly).

Odd as it may seem, Amazon, the bellwether of online shopping, is marketing actual stores. The retail giant is testing a smart convenience store concept in Seattle that lets shoppers grab-and-go without dealing with cashiers or money.
Why would Amazon bother? Because like a growing number of retailers, it sees a huge opportunity to breathe new life into brick-and-mortar stores and streamline an experience that has increasingly resulted in customers feeling overwhelmed with data.
HP has announced a few new products under their OMEN gaming line, with the OMEN X Compact desktop which has a versatile form-factor and a factory-overclocked NVIDIA GPU. They also announced the OMEN 15 and OMEN 17 laptops.
When buying a new computer these days, there are a lot to choose from. Do you want a traditional clamshell laptop or would you rather have one that can fold over and has a touchscreen and can be used as a tablet. HP seems to realize this and they’re putting out more 2-in-1 versions of their laptops.
I’ve been using the HP Spectre x360 13 for the past few weeks and it’s easily become one of my favourite 2-in-1 laptops that I’ve tested, even beating the likes of the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1.
