Today is Canada Day, and this is extra special because it’s Canada’s 150th birthday (also known as Canada 150).

As 2016 comes to a close, it’s that time of year for the annual “best of …” or “favourite things of 2016.”
This post will be focusing on the apps that I used the most this year, so much that I consider them my favourite apps of 2016. Some of these apps might not have come out in 2015 but some have been significantly since last year’s post: Favourite Apps of 2015.
Some of these apps are just available on only one platform (just Android or just iOS) but some of them are multiplatform in which they are on both Android and iOS and have a web app as well.
The links to download these apps will be in the form of “Get on Google Play” or “Get it on the App Store” picture after each app description.

Apple made a few announcements at their ‘Spring Forward’ event. Including more details about the Apple Watch, a refresh on the MacBook Pro and Air and also a new MacBook.
Apple has confirmed that the Apple Watch will be coming on April 24th 2015. It will be coming to nine countries including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US.
The battery life of the Apple Watch will be about 18 hours. It’s better than people expected but it’s not at the same level as some of the competition from Android Wear or Pebble.
Pre-orders for the Apple Watch will start on April 10th. Also on that day, Apple will be offering an in-store preview of the Apple Watch to see how it fits.
Here are just some of the apps and games that I used most often in 2014. Some are available for just one platform (just Android or just iOS) while some apps are on both or have a web app as well.
