Amazon’s Echo Show lineup of devices has gone through several design changes since its launch in 2017. The biggest one is the 3rd Gen Echo Show 10 that just recently launched.
Since its introduction back in 2014, Amazon’s main Echo speakers have taken the form of a cylindrical tube but for the 4th Gen version of their Echo, Amazon has gone for a more spherical direction for their speaker.
It’s been almost four years since Google first introduced its Made by Google hardware initiative that began with the Google Home. It introduced the Google Assistant into our homes while also giving Amazon’s Echo devices a run for their money.
It’s been a few years but the smart speaker race is in full swing with both Amazon and Google fighting for your hard-earned dollars. Google has recently expanded into smart displays with the now newly rebranded Nest Hub and the all-new Nest Hub Max.
When Lenovo launched the Smart Display last year, it offered a great visual way to interact with the Google Assistant. Fast forward to 2019 and Lenovo has launched a follow up to with the Lenovo Smart Clock which does most of the same features but just in a smaller package.
It was only a few years ago when Android tablets would be selling like hotcakes and could keep up with Apple’s iPad sales. But now, there are hardly any Android tablets on the market, partially because of Apple but the other reason being that there really isn’t a need for a tablet when smartphone screens are getting bigger each year.
Nowadays, there is no shortage of Amazon Echo devices that come with a number of features and sometimes at a cost. One of the most recent devices is the Echo Dot (3rd Gen) which is one of the cheapest Echo devices and a vast improvement over the previous version.
When Google announced Smart Displays at CES 2018, they introduced a new to visually interact with the Google Assistant. It also gave Google a leg up on Amazon, as an answer to the Echo Show and Echo Spot.
The Apple HomePod has to be one of the more interesting Apple products to come out in the past couple of years. It neither a phone nor a computer, it’s a smart speaker that sounds good but can’t do a lot partially because it’s locked in the Apple ecosystem.
