Android Wear watches haven’t taken off the same way that the Apple Watch has meaning only about a million or so Android Wear watches have been sold, compared to the millions of Apple Watches sold.
But a company by the name of Mobvoi is trying to change that with their Android Wear powered, Ticwatch S & E, which they’re calling “truly optimized smartwatches.”
Google has (quietly) released the LG Watch Style in the Canadian Google Store, just a few short months after it first launched in the US.
It’s been exactly five years since Google first launched Google Play (today to be exact, on March 6th, 2012).
Now it has grown to more just apps, over the past five years, Google has added games, movies, TV, books and music to their Google Play.
They’ve accumulated over 1 billion active users in 190 countries and there are millions of apps, 40 million songs, 5 million books and lots of movies to choose from.
Huawei made a few announcements at MWC 2017, including a follow-up to last year’s P9 & P9 Plus with the P10 & P10 Plus and the Huawei Watch 2.
After a few leaks, Google and LG’s smartwatch collaboration was finally announced. Together they have revealed the first two watches that will be running Android Wear 2.0, the Watch Style and Watch Sport.

Smartwatches running Android Wear come in all shapes and sizes and even luxury watch brands are creating their own Android Wear smartwatches with their take (aside from the software, which remains the same on all Android Wear watches).
With launch of Android Wear 2.0 imminent (on February 9th), it’s about time we see leaks about what the first smartwatches running the new update will look that.

Google made quite a few announcements during their I/O 2016 keynote. From a new way to talk to Google to an Amazon Echo competitor called Google Home and of course a looking at upcoming versions of Android and Android Wear.
