As 2016 comes to a close, it’s that time of year for the annual “best of …” or “favourite things of 2016.”
This post will be focusing on the apps that I used the most this year, so much that I consider them my favourite apps of 2016. Some of these apps might not have come out in 2015 but some have been significantly since last year’s post: Favourite Apps of 2015.
Some of these apps are just available on only one platform (just Android or just iOS) but some of them are multiplatform in which they are on both Android and iOS and have a web app as well.
The links to download these apps will be in the form of “Get on Google Play” or “Get it on the App Store” picture after each app description.
Google’s Nexus lineup was a great way to show off pure, stock Android. Google’s Pixel lineup of devices which started with the Chromebook Pixel combine solid premium hardware with Google’s software.
This year hasn’t been great and all and it’s worse now, especially if you’re a Pebble fan like I am (still rocking the original Pebble and I backed the Time 2).
Pebble has announced that it will be joining Fitbit and stop operating on its own . That mean the company will shut down and they will no longer manufacture Pebble devices.
Android Wear smartwatches have been around for almost three years now, and even though they haven’t been as popular as the Apple Watch but nonetheless, they’re still on par with it.
Smartwatches running Android Wear come in all shapes and sizes and even luxury watch brands such as Michael Kors are creating their own Android Wear smartwatches with their take (aside from the software, which remains the same on all Android Wear watches)
Netflix has announced that members of their service can now download content from Netflix’s library for offline viewing at no additional cost.
Technology is everywhere, it’s in our pockets with our smartphones, but we are now beginning to wear them in the form of wearable technology. They can range from smartwatches & fitness trackers to virtual reality headsets.
There was quite a few phones that came out this year but in this list, you’ll find some of my favourites for from this year.
Have you ever wanted to get movie-quality shots but don’t want to pay the high price of a some other video stabilizers on the market? You won’t have to with the FlowMotion One smartphone stabilizer and you can get it now via their Kickstarter, starting from $169 USD.
