The Futurama revival airs this July

Good news, everyone! It’s time to head back to New New York as Disney has announced a premiere date for the upcoming Futurama revival on Hulu and Disney+.

The series has been on a 10-year hiatus but back in February 2022, it was announced that the show would be coming back with 20 new episodes.

The revival will be accessible for both Futurama fans new and old. Some of the new episodes will include “developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile, there’s a new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.”

The show’s original creators, Matt Groening and David X. Cohen are returning for the revival.

The entire voice cast is returning including John DiMaggio (Bender), Billy West (Fry), Katey Sagal (Leela), Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr and David Herman.

New episodes of Futurama will air weekly on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally starting July 24th.
