The OnePlus 11 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 officially announced

At their Cloud 11 event, OnePlus has unveiled their latest products including the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

First up is the OnePlus 11, which is is being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip with up to 16GB of RAM.

“OnePlus’ expanding portfolio reflects the company’s unique 1+4+X strategy,” explains Pete Lau, founder of OnePlus, senior vice president and chief of product at OPPO and OnePlus. “‘1’ represents the flagship smartphone, while ‘4’ signifies supporting ecosystem devices such as TVs, earbuds, watches, and tablets. ‘X’ represents a whole world of products which connect to the OnePlus ecosystem to build a superior digital life. The launch of these products reinforce OnePlus’ position as a pioneer in digital devices and technology.”

The phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the battery in the OnePlus 11 is a 5,000 mAh with 80W SuperVooc fast wired charging.

For cameras, the OnePlus 11 has a 50MP main lens, 48MP ultra-wide and 32MP portrait/telephoto lens. The front camera is 16MP.

The OnePlus 11 comes in two colours, Titan Black and Eternal Green. Pricing is as follows:

  • 128GB/ 8GB RAM – $999 CAD ($699 USD)
  • 256GB / 16GB RAM – $1,149 CAD ($799 USD)

The OnePlus 11 is now up for pre-order from the company’s website and ships on February 16th. The phone is also available from Amazon (.ca and .com) and Best Buy (Canada and US).

OnePlus also announced a new model of their Buds Pro 2 earbuds.

The earbuds have a 11mm+6mm dual drivers and were developed in partnership with Danish audio company, Dynaudio.

There’s also Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with a transparency mode. The new earbuds support spatial audio thanks to built in support in OxygenOS 13. The spatial audio will work for multi-channel audio in apps such as Disney+ and YouTube.

The company also announced that they’ve teamed up with Oscar-winning composer Hanz Zimmer to offer a EQ tuned by him. The Hanz Zimmer EQ setting for the OnePus Buds Pro 2 is called “Soundscape”.

Battery life is up to 9 hours of listening time from just the earbuds and an additional 39 hours from the charging case. The charging case has a USB-C port and wireless charging (something the OnePlus 11 is lacking).

Other specs include Bluetooth 5.3, IP55 water and sweat resistance and Google Fast Pair support.

The earbuds come in two colours, Obsidian Black and Arbor Green.

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is $269 CAD ($179 USD) and up for pre-order from the company’s website and ships on February 16th.

In addition to the new phone and earbuds, OnePlus announced their first tablet with the OnePlus Pad.

The OnePlus Pad features a 11.6-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate that also supports Dolby Vision and has Dolby Atmos support.

The body of the tablet is made from a self-developed Star Orbit metal craft that uses aluminium alloy CNC cutting.

Powering the OnePlus Pad is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The tablet has a 9510 mAh battery that should last up to 12 hours of video playback. It also supports 67W SuperVooc charging to get you a full charge in 80 mins. 

The device will be running OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13.

For cameras, the OnePlus Pad has a 13MP sensor on the rear and a 8MP selfie camera. Other specs include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and face unlock support.

In select markets, the OnePlus Pad will come bundled with a OnePlus Stylo and magnetic keyboard. 

The OnePlus Pad will be launching later this year with pre-orders starting in April in North America, India, Europe and the Middle East.

Pricing for the OnePlus Pad will be announced in April.
