Like clockwork, Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy S23 series.
Galaxy S23 Ultra
Starting out at the top of the lineup, there’s the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The display actually has a flatter surface area than the S22 Ultra’s display, which should make it easier when it comes to glass screen protectors.
Powering the S23 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. This is a special branded Qualcomm chip for the Galaxy S23 series.
The new chip brings a 3.36 Ghz clock speed instead of 3.2 Ghz on the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The chipset is also paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM depending on storage. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
On the camera side, the S23 Ultra has a new 200MP main lens along with a 10MP periscope, 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide.
Samsung says the new 200MP sensor should allow for brighter and more detailed shots in low-light.
The front camera on the S23 Ultra is 12MP that also supports features like Night Portrait, bokeh effects and AI effects.
On the video side, the S23 Ultra can shoot up to 8K video at 24 or 30fps as well as 4K 60fps. There’s also a 2x wide OIS angle for improved video stabilization.
The battery in the S23 Ultra is a 5,000 mAh that should last all day. There’s also 45W wired charging and 10W wireless charging.
Other specs include One UI 5.1 based on Android 13, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E. And just like the S22 Ultra, the S23 Ultra will still have a built-in S Pen.
Colour options for the S23 Ultra include Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender.
Online Exlusive colours for the S23 Ultra include Lime, Sky Blue, Graphite and Red.

Galaxy S23 and S23+
For the rest of the Galaxy S23 lineup, there’s the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23.
The Galaxy S23+ has a 6.6-inch AMOLED flat display at 120Hz with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Meanwhile the standard S23 has a 6.1-inch AMOLED at 120Hz flat display also with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Powering the S23+ and S23 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.
For batteries, the S23+ has a 4,700 mAh battery and the 3,900 mAh battery.
Both devices feature a similar camera layout with a 50MP main lens, 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide.
Other specs for the devies include One UI 5.1 based on Android 13, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E.
Colour options for both models include Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender.
