Hyundai has taken the wraps off the next generation of the Kona compact SUV.
The Kona was first introduced back in 2017 but is now seeing a complete redesign for the 2024 model year.

“Upscaled with KONA’s unique character, the all-new KONA confidently expresses its bold and dynamic presence,” said SangYup Lee, Head of Hyundai Design Center. “KONA has evolved in every respect to embrace an even wider range of diversity, to become a true lifestyle supporter.”
The new Kona is slightly longer than its previous model at 4,355 mm in length, making it about 150mm longer. This should also help make the rear seat space roomier than before.

The second-gen Kona brings a more futuristic design. Hyundai says they actually started with an EV variant as a basis for when designing the new Kona.
Across the front grill is a thin LED light bar that also houses the main headlights. And the back of the new Kona features the pixelated design from the Ioniq EVs.

Hyundai says they will be offering a different variant of the new Kona including an all-electric, a hybrid and an internal combustion engine version, which has a N Line variant.

Inside the new Kona shares a similar design layout to newer Hyundai models with dual 12.3-inch displays, ambient lighting and clean lines.

More details about the all-new Hyundai Kona will be announced in the coming months.
Hyundai Canada has confirmed that the 2024 Kona will be coming to Canada along with all three variants (EV, gas and hybrid).
No Canadian launch timeline has been announced yet.
