GM has taken the wraps off their newest all-electric pickup truck, the GMC Sierra EV.
“This is the Denali of EVs — and a truck that is every bit a GMC,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC.“That means it leaves nothing on the table when it comes to hauling, towing and overall power while unlocking even more possibilities around what a GMC pickup can offer.”

The GMC Sierra EV is the latest electric vehicle and joins the GMC Hummer EV Pkcup and SUV (coming in 2023).
“The 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is just the beginning,” said Aldred. “It will offer customers our very latest in technology, capability and luxury delivered in a way only GMC can do — with much more to come. From the HUMMER EV supertruck to the first-ever Sierra EV, GMC continues to write the next chapter in its future as a premium truck and SUV brand.”

The upcoming EV is being built using GM’s Ultium electric vehicle platform.
Range on the EV is estimated to be up to 640 KM (400 miles) on a full charge. On a 350kW DC fast charger, you can get up to 160 KM (100 miles) of range in 10 mins.

In terms of performance, the GMC Sierra EV has 754 HP and 785 lb-ft of torque in the Max Power mode.
Similar to the Hummer EV, the Sierra EV offers Regend on Demand braking, One-Pedal driving and 4-Wheel Steel with CrabWalk.

Inside, the vehicle features a 16.8-inch touchscreen for the Ultifi infotainment system.

Elsewhere in the interior of the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 are authentic premium materials such as grain-matched open-pore wood, aluminum, etched stainless steel and more.

There’s also Super Cruise hands-free driving that works when towing a trailer. The vehicle has a 9,500 pounds (4,309 kg) max towing capacity.

For cargo space, there’s a MultiPro Midgate that lets you expand the truck bed into the cabin to haul longer items.
The front trunk which GM calls the eTrunk is a lockable, weatherproof compartment.

The GMC Sierra EV is set to launch in early 2024 in the US with their 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 at a starting price of $107,000 USD.
Following the initial launch, additional Sierra EV models will be announced closer to production start and those will start at $50,000 USD MSRP.

GM Canada has confirm that the Sierra EV will be making it’s way to Canada but as a 2025 model year.
