Microsoft announces the new Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5, Surface Studio 2+

Microsoft has unveiled their latest Surface products wth the new Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop and Surface Studio 2+.

Surface Pro 9

The Surface Pro 9 brings similar design to last year’s Surface Pro 8.

The display is a  13-inch PixelSense Flo Display with a 2880 x 1920 resolution and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate.

Powering the tablet is the 12th Gen Intel chips with options for a Intel Core i5-1235U or i7-1255U.

There’s also up 32GB of RAM available and up to a 1TB SSD.

The 5G variant of the Surface Pro 9 also adds a Microsoft SQ3 processor and Neural Processing Unit.

For graphics, there’s a Intel Xe GPU. Other specs include Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6E, Windows Hello Face Unlock.

For ports, there’s a two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4/USB 4.0 support, along with a Surface Connect prot and Surface Keyboard connector.

Battery life is up to 15.5 hours on the standard model and up to 19 hours on the 5G variant.

The front camera can shoot 1080p video while the rear is a 10MP sensor that can shoot 1080p and 4K video.

The Surface Pro 9 starts at $1,279 CAD ($999 USD) and ships on October 25th. Pre-orders for the device start today.

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop is now in it’s 5th generation with the new Surface Laptop 5.

The laptop still comes in 13.5-inch and 15-inch PixelSense touch display options.

Powering the Surface Laptop 5 is the 12th Gen Intel chips with options for a Intel Core i5-1235U or i7-1255U. The i7 is the only chip option available for the 15-inch model.

There’s also Intel Iris Xe graphics, up to 32GB of RAM and up to a 1TB SSD option.

Other specs include Windows Hello Face Unlock, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Battery life is rated at 18 hours on the Surface Laptop 13.5″ and 17 hours on the 15-inch.

The Surface Laptop 5 starts at $1,299 CAD ($999 USD)for the 13.5-inch model and $1,689 CAD ($1,299 USD) for the 15-inch.

Pre-orders for both models start today and ships on October 25th.

Surface Studio 2+

The Surface Studio has been overdue for an update since the Surface Studio 2 launched in 2018.

The new Surface Studio 2+ still features the signature 28-inch PixelSense display (at a resolution of 4500 x 3000) on a Zero Gravity Hinge.

Powering the Surface Studio 2+ is the 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11370H chip with a Nvidia RTX 3060 Laptop GPU.

There’s also 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The device also has Windows Hello face unlock.

For ports, the Surface Studio 2+ has three USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4/USB 4.0 that supports native external display support. There’s also two USB-A 3.1, 3.5mm headphone jack and a Gigiabit Ethernet port.

The Surface Studio 2+ starts at $5,959 CAD ($4,499 USD) but it will be launching at a later date.

Pre-orders for the Surface Studio 2+ start today and ships on October 25th.
