Amazon has announced three new Fire tablets tablets with the all-new Fire HD 8, Fire HD 8 Kids and Fire HD 8 Kids Pro.
“Our best-selling tablet this year just got even better for customers. The all-new Fire HD 8 tablets are faster, lighter, and powered by all-day battery life, delivering great entertainment for the whole family,” said Kevin Keith, vice president of Amazon Devices. “For a complete kids tablet experience, the all-new Fire Kids tablets include one year of Amazon Kids+, a virtual playground of thousands of ad-free games, videos, books, apps, and more, kid-friendly case, a two-year worryfree guarantee, and easy-to-use parental controls.”
The new Fire HD 8 features a hexa-core processor that makes the tablet 30% faster over the previous model.

The display is still 8-inches and has HD resolution. There’s also up to 13 hours of battery life, 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot and charges for USB-C.

For the kids models, the Fire HD 8 Kids is made for kids ages 3-7 and includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+.

Amazon Kids+ gives you thousands of ad-free content such as books, games, videos and apps.
The Fire HD 8 Kids Pro is for older children, ages 6-12 and also comes with a one-year sub to Amazon Kids+. It’ll also include educational content from National Geographic, Rabbids Coding and LEGO.

The Fire HD 8 starts at $119 CAD. It’ll be available in a few colours, Black, Denim and Rose.
The Fire HD 8 Kids and 8 Kids Pro will be retail for $189 CAD and come in a kid-friendly case.
All three Fire HD 8 models are available for pre-order today.
