Samsung’s 55-inch Odyssey Ark gaming monitor is now up for pre-order in Canada

Following it’s announcement back at CES 2022, Samsung Canada has unveiled pricing and pre-order details for their 55-inch Odyssey Ark gaming monitor.

The main selling point of the Odyssey Ark is it’s 55-inch 1000R curved display that offers 4K resolution, Quantum HDR 2000, Quantum Mini LED and up to a 165Hz refresh rate.

Featuring a superb form factor with a highly innovative and intuitive interface, this 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen represents a new frontier in gaming,” said Pat Bugos, Senior Vice President of Consumer Electronics, Samsung Canada. “As gamers look for more immersive experiences, the Odyssey Ark provides access to an exciting new world of gaming that will raise standards across the entire industry.”

Powering the Odyssey Ark is Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor Ultra which can upscale content to near 4K resolution.

Other features of the monitor include a Height Adjustable Stand that can rotate the monitor from vertical or horizontal orientation. As well as a Flex Move Screen that can change aspect ratios between 16:9, 21:9 and 32:9.

The monitor also features a Matte Display and Sound Dome Technology for the 60W 2.2.2 channel speakers.

There’s also AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support that can maximize on-screen accuracy.

Also, like Samsung’s 2022 Smart TVs, the Odyssey Ark supports the Samsung Gaming Hub that gives you access to Xbox, Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.

The Odyssey Ark will also come with the Ark Dial controller that lets your change settings on the fly. The Ark Dial is solar-powered but can also be charged via USB-C.

The Samsung Odyssey Ark is up for pre-order now for $3,999 CAD and launching on September 16th.

Pre-orders for the Odyssey Ark are available from Samsung’s website and Best Buy Canada.
