Hogwarts Legacy launching in February 2023

Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software has finally announced a release date for the upcoming game, Hogwarts Legacy.

The game announced back in September 2020 for a 2021 release, before being pushed to a 2022 release window.

Now the game has been pushed from it’s most recent Holiday 2022 release window for February 10, 2023.

According to WB Games, here’s what the game was about:

Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books.

Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover fantastic beasts, customize your character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents and become the wizard you want to be.

Experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Discover the feeling of living at Hogwarts as you make allies, battle Dark Wizards and ultimately decide the fate of the wizarding world.

Your legacy is what you make of it. Live the Unwritten.

In a tweet on the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter, the team at Avalanche needs a bit more time, “to deliver the best possible game experience.”

Hogwarts Legacy will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, PS4, PS5 and PC at launch in February.

A Nintendo Switch version of the game was previously announced but will be launching after the main February 2023 release.
