Apple has announced a release date for their upcoming new MacBook Air with M2.
The new MacBook Air with M2 features a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina Display, upgrade 1080p webcam and just 11.3mm thin and 2.7 pounds.

Battery life is up to 18 hours depending on usage. By default, Apple include a 30W USB-C charger but you can purchase to the 67W USB-C power adapter to get your fast charging and up to 50% battery life in 30 mins.

Powering the new MacBook Air is the M2 chip that features an 8-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU and up to 24GB of RAM.
Apple says the M2 chip can make editing complex timelines in Final Cut Pro up to 40% faster than on M1.

The M2 chip also supports playback streams of 4K and 8K video via the ProRes Video engine.
For ports, the laptop features two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports and a headphone jack in addition to MagSafe 3 (like the 2021 MacBook Pro models).
The new MacBook Air with M2 comes in four colours, Space Grey, Silver, Starlight and a new Midnight blue.

The new MacBook Air starts at $1,499 CAD ($1,374 CAD for education) for the 8-core CPU & GPU M2 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD.
Stepping up to the model with the 8-core CPU & 10-core GPU M2 starts at $1,899 CAD ($1,774 CAD for education).
Pre-orders for the new MacBook Air start on July 8th at 8 AM EDT/5 AM PDT and will launch on July 15th.
