After it’s launch in 2020, Microsoft has announced the successor to their affordable laptop with the new Surface Laptop Go 2.
Like the first model, the new version retains the 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 1536 x 1024 resolution.
The body of the laptop is made from a combination of aluminum and polycarbonate.
Powering the Surface Laptop Go 2 is the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with either 4 or 8GB of RAM.
The laptop will be running Windows 11 Home.
For storage, you have the option of 128 or 256GB SSD. There’s also Windows Hello support via the fingerprint reader in the power button along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
While the webcam doesn’t have Windows Hello, it is a 720p HD f.2.0 camera along with dual far-field Studio Mic and Omnisonic speakers.
Microsoft says the laptop will get up to 13.5 hours of typical device usage and there’s fast charging to get you 80% in one hour.
For ports, you get the Surface Connect, USB-C, USB-A and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
There will also be four colour options to choose from, Platnium, Sandstone, Ice Blue and Sage.
