Sony Pictures has announced the delay of the two upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse sequels.
The first sequel which drops the (Part One) from it’s title, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will now be hitting theatres on June 2nd, 2023 (previously slated for October 7th, 2022).

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is the new title for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part II which was previously undated, is now releasing on March 29th, 2024.
According to Sony, here’s what the films are about:
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.
Both films being directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson.

The film will see Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfield reprise their roles as Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy respectively. And Jake Johnson will also be returning to his role as Peter B. Parker.
Oscar Isaac will appear in the film as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 and Issa Rae will voice Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman.
With the screenplay by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and David Callaham.
Producers on the films include Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Christina Steinberg.
