BMW unveils the all-electric i7 sedan

Continuing wiht the electrification of their lineup, BMW has announced the all-electric i7 sedan.

The new i7 xDrive60 features 400kW/536hp of output and 549 lb-ft of instant torque, that can do 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.

In terms of battery, the i7 has a 101.7 kWh battery that offers a range of 625 KM (according to WLTP).

There’s also DC fast charging support up to 195 kW. A 10 min charge can get you around 170 KM of range.

The wheelbase of the i7 is 3,215mm and has integrate Active Steering and two axle air suspension and adaptive suspension.

Inside, the i7 features the usual iDrive 8 infotainment system with a 12.3-inch driver display and 14.9-inch centre display.

The rear seat is where things get interesting, the i7 can be optioned with the BMW Theatre Screen that has a 31-inch display powered by Amazon Fire TV, offers 5G connectivity and is 8K resolution.

This screen is perfect for passengers in the back or for driver to use while their i7 is being charged.

The rear screen display can be options with the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system for an even more immersive sound experience.

To control the rear infotainment and other functions, the rear doors each feature a 5.5-inch touchscreen.

All of this does come at a cost, the 2023 BMW i7 xDrive60 starts at $147,000 CAD and is launching in Canada in Q4 2022.
