During gamescom Opening Night Live, Volition announced a brand new Saints Row game, this time it’s a reboot of the series.
The game is set in a new fictional city called Santo Ileso which is a situated in the American South West. The new location is filled with big city business and street crime.
“This complete restart is the most fun and exhilarating experience we’ve ever wrapped in a Saints Row experience, ” said Jim Boone, chief creative officer, Volition. ” The iconic new location offers so many exciting opportunities to delight players – whether they’re long-time fans of the series or they’re new to the show.”
Santo Ileso has around nine unique districts to explore, surrounded by the Southwest Desert.

Like past Saints Row games, you’ll be able to customize “the boss” to make them your own as your rise up the ranks.

You’ll be joined by other new character such as Neenah, Kevin, and Eli, who come together to form The Saints. You can the gang will then take on other gang like the Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall.

Volition says the game “is the story of a start-up company, it’s just that the business The Saints are in happens to be crime.”
The game will also feature seamless co-op, so you and a friend can drop-in and out and take on enemies.

There will be a few version of the game, the base game for $79.99 CAD.
The Gold Edition that included the base game, Saints Criminal Customs, Los Panteros American Muscle Bundle and Expansion Pass for $120 CAD.
The Platnium Edition comes with everything in the Gold Edition but also Saints Row The Third Remastered and costs $133 CAD.
All pre-orders of the game gets The Idols Anarchy Pack which includes the Idols DJ Helmet, Twinkle Bat and Sandstorm Scrambler.
Saints Row (2022) is launching on August 23rd, 2022 and coming to Xbox Series X & S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC (as an Epic Games Store exclusive).
Update – November 17th, 2021: Deep Silver and Volition has announced their Saints Row reboot has been delayed to August 23rd, 2022.
