Subaru has officially unveiled their first EV with the all-new Solterra SUV.
The vehicle was developed jointly with Toyota and uses a dedicated electric vehicle platform.
Both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive versions of the Solterra EV will be available.
The vehicle comes in a single 150kW motor that puts out 201 horsepower and the dual 160kW motor version that outputs 214 hp.
Each motor variant will have a 71.4 kWh battery that provides up to 530 KM of range on the front-wheel-drive model. The all-wheel-drive version gets around 460 KM of range.
The Solterra supports DC fast charging for speeds of up to 150kW, which should bring around 80% charge in 30 mins or so.
The Solterra EV is set to launch in mid-2022 in Canada, the US, Japan, Europe and China. Pricing for the Solterra will be announced closer to launch.
