Asus’ latest ProArt laptops are designed for creators

Asus has unveiled their newest lineup of laptops that are aimed at any level creator from casual to professionals.

ProArt StudioBook 16

Asus ProArt Studiobook 16

Starting out the lineup is the new ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED and ProArt StudioBook Pro 16 OLED.

Powering the laptops is the AMD Ryzen 5000 H-Series mobile processor (W5600) or 3rd Gen Intel Xeon chip (W7600) along with an NVIDIA RTX A2000 (W5600) or A5000 (W7600) Laptop GPU.

There’s also up to PCIe SSD, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, Thunderbolt 4 (on the Intel models), USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, HDMI 2.1 and SD card slot.

Both versions have a 16-inch 4K OLED HDR display with a  16:10 aspect ratio and 550-nits of brightness. These displays are Pantone Validated, Calman Verified and support 100% DCI-Pe colour gamut.

One new feature to the ProArt StudioBook is the Asus Dial. Think of this like the Surface Dial but this one is built into the laptop and is customizable.

The Asus Dial is compatible with a number of app including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and more.

The touchpad of the ProArt StudioBook 16 supports touchpad stylus input with up to 1024 pressure levels. There’s also a 3-button layout for the touchpad.

The new ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED starts at $1,999 USD and the StudioBook Pro 16 OLED starts at $2,499 USD. Both ship in Q4 in North America.

Zenbook Pro 15 OLED

If the ProArt Studiobook is a bit out reach, there’s the Zenbook Pro 15 OLED and Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED.

The Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED has a 15.6-inch screen with a 14-inch ScreenPad Plus. Powering the laptop is up to a Intel Core i9 along with an Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU.

Meanwhile the Zenbook Pro 15 OLED is using AMD Ryzen 5000 (UM535) chips, up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD and 15.6-inch 4K OLED display.

The Asus Zenbook Pro 15 OLED starts at $1,469 CAD and launches in Q4.

VivoBook Pro

Asus VivoBook Pro 14X

Rounding out Asus’ latest creator laptops is the new VivoBook Pro series.

The lineup includes the new 16-inch VivoBook Pro 16X OLED, the 15.6-inch Vivobook Pro 15 OLED and the 14-inch VivoBook Pro Pro 14 OLED.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14X

The VivoBook Pro Pro 14X features a 14-inch 2.8K OLED HDR display while the 16X OLED has a 4K OLED display.

Both are powered by either 11th Gen Intel i7 H-series or AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series chips with up to a Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti, up to 32GB of RAM and 96 Wh battery.

The VivoBook Pro 14 and 15 OLED can be optioned with a NanoEdge 2.8K display or FHD OLED. Processor options are the same as the VivoBook Pro 14X & 16X OLED but only up to a standard Nvidia RTX 3050.

Pricing and availability is as follows:

  • VivoBook Pro 14X OLED – TBA – Q4 in Canada
  • VivoBook Pro 16X OLED – $1,399 USD – Q4 in North America
  • VivoBook Pro 14 OLED – $749 USD for the FHD and $1,199 USD for the NanoEdge 2.8K – Q4 in North America
  • VivoBook Pro 15 OLED – $919 USD – Q4 in North America
