Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, Galaxy Buds2 and the Galaxy Watch4 series.
Galaxy Z Fold3

First up is the Galaxy Z Fold3, which has similar screens to the Fold2. The Fold3 has a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display for the Cover Screen, now with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The main screen is a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display at 120Hz and covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The device has a aluminum frame which Samsung calls Armor Aluminum and the Fold3 is actually 11 grams lighter at 271g (vs 282g for the Fold2).

The battery in the Fold3, is 4,400 mAh battery and there’s a fingerprint reader, IPX8 water resistant and running Android 11.
While we aren’t getting a new Galaxy Note this year, Samsung has added S Pen support to the Fold3 with two new option. There’s a S Pen Fold Edition that has a Pro Tip and supports Air commands.

The other S Pen is the S Pen Pro that has built-in Bluetooth, Air command support and rechargeable battery. The S Pen Pro works with all Samsung devices that support S Pen.
For cameras, the Fold 3 has a 12MP ultra-wide, 12MP wide-angle and 12MP telephoto. The Cover Screen has 10MP sensor and the main folding screen has a 4MP under display camera.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 comes in three colours, Phantom Black, Phantom Green and Phantom Silver.

The Fold3 is set to launch on August 27th for $2,269 CAD ($1,799 USD).
Galaxy Z Flip3

The Galaxy Z Flip3 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamc AMOLED 2X Display, now with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Cover Screen is now 1.9-inches compared to 1.1-inches on the original Z Flip.
The display and body is covered in Gorilla Glass Victus and is IPX8 water resistant. Just like the Fold3, the Flip3 uses Armor Aluminum in it’s frame.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The battery is 3,300 mAh
For cameras, the Flip3 has a 12MP ultra-wide and a 12MP wide-angle on the back and a 10MP selfie camera.
The phone comes in a multitude of colours including, Cream, Green, Lavendar, Phantom Black, Gray, White and Pink.
The Flip3 costs $1,259 CAD ($999 USD) and launches on August 27th.
Galaxy Watch4 series

Typically, Samsung has launched only one smartwatch but this time they are launching two of them with the Galaxy Watch4 series.
The main Galaxy Watch4 is basically the successor to the Galaxy Watch Active series and the Watch4 Classic continues the main Galaxy Watch series.

The Galaxy Watch4 has a touch sensitive bezel and aluminum case. While the Watch4 Classic has a physical rotating bezel and stainless steel case.

The Galaxy Watch4 series are powered by a new 5nm Exynos W920 processor along with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Both watches come in different sizes with 42 & 46mm for the Watch4 Classic and 40 & 44mm for the Watch4. The smaller watches will have a 1.19-inch screen while the bigger models have a 1.36-inch display.
All the watches have IP68 dust and water resistance, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, etc.
Samsung says the battery on either watch should last up to 40 hours with typical use and can be extended longer using low-power mode.
There is also quick charging support with a 30 min charge getting you around 10 hours of battery life. A full charge will take around 2 hours.
The actual battery capacity is 247 mAh for the 40mm Watch4 and 42mm Watch Classic. The 44mm Watch4 and 46mm Watch4 Classic get a 361 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are the first devices to run the new version of Wear OS that was made in collaboration with Samsung.
The new Wear OS takes inspiration and features from both Wear OS and Tizen Wearable OS.

Pricing for the Galaxy Watch4 starts at $329 CAD ($249 USD) for the Bluetooth/40mm model.
The Galaxy Watch4 Classic starts at $459 CAD ($349 USD) for the Bluetooth/42mm version.
The Galaxy Watch4 series is set to launch on August 27th.
Galaxy Buds2

The new Galaxy Buds2 have a similar rounded design to the Buds Pro.
The Galaxy Buds2 have sound tuned by AKG with Dynamic 2-way speakers. The earbuds have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Ambient sound mode.
Samsung is using machine learning to help maximize call quality in any type of environment.
With ANC on, you can get up to 5 hours of listening time and 20 hours additional from the case.
The Galaxy Buds2 comes in four colours, Graphite (black), White, Olive and Lavender. To help give some more personality, Samsung and it’s partners will be offering a number of case covers for the Galaxy Buds2.

Samsung says you can also use the case from the Buds Pro and Buds Live, since they’re all compatible.
The earbuds will cost $189 CAD ($149 USD) and will be launching on August 27th.

Do you know if the Canadian version of the phone has eSim?
I’m unsure but I have reached out to my contacts at Samsung Canada and are waiting for their reply
Just head back from Samsung Canada, eSIM is not supported on the Flip3 and Fold3 in Canada at this time, only nano SIM cards
