Lenovo unveils the Smart Clock 2 and new Yoga tablets

Lenovo’s smallest smart display is getting a sequel with the new Smart Clock 2, alongside new Yoga Tabs.

The new smart display still features a 4-inch LCD display like the original but the body has been update.

The exterior is still covered in soft touch fabric but the display it much higher up. There’s a farfierld mic array, volume buttons on top and mic mute switch around back.

New for this model is a wireless charging dock  that supports up to 10W on compatible devices and works with MagSafe iPhones. There’s still a USB-A port on the back of the wireless charging dock.

It’s being powered by the MediaTek MT8167S processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. There is also a front-facing 1.5-inch 3W speaker.

Lenovo Smart Clock 2 – Abyss Blue

The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 is set to launch in September starting at $99 CAD ($69 USD) and come in three colours, Shadow Black, Abyss Blue and Heather Grey.

For $119 CAD ($89 USD) you get the bundled price for the clock and dock.

The original Smart Clock from 2019 went for $119 CAD ($79 USD).

 

Yoga Tab 13 and Yoga Tab 11

Alongside the new Smart Clock 2, there’s the Yoga Tab 13 and Yoga Tab 11.

Lenovo’s latest tablets are running Android 11. The Yoga Tab 11 features a 11-inch (2000 x 1200 resolution) display while the Tab 13 has a 13-inch 2K display.

Powering the Tab 11 is the MediaTek Helio G90T processor with 4 or 8GB of RAM. The tablet features a 7,500 mAh for up to 15 hours of battery life.

The Tab 13 gets the Snapdragon 870 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. This model also gets Wi-FI 6 support and has a 10,000 mAh battery for around 12 hours of battery life.

For cameras, the Tab 11 has an 8MP sensor on the rear and another on the front. The Tab 13 doesn’t have a rear camera but does have a 8MP sensor on the front.

One unique features of the Yoga Tab 13 is the inclusion of a micro-HDMI port, meaning you can use this tablet as a portable monitor for your laptop or game console.

The Yoga Tab 13 will cost $679 USD and ships in July. While the Yoga Tab 11 is launching in August for $319 USD.

No Canadian pricing and release dates have been announced.
