Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2021 Announcements: Starfield, Forza Horizon 5 & more

Microsoft made quite a few announcements at their first Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021.

During the showcase, Microsoft showed off 30 titles of which 27 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Starfield

After being announced at E3 2018, Bethesda showed our first glimpse at their upcoming title, Starfield.

While this was just a tease, the game will be exclusive to Xbox Series & S and PC. It’ll also come to Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Starfield is set for a November 11th, 2022 release.

Forza Horizon 5

The next entry in the Forza Horizon series is headed to Mexico. You’ll be able to the “vibrant and ever-evolving open world landscapes” of the country.

Forza Horizon 5 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming on November 9th, 2021. It’ll also come to Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Microsoft Flight Simulator (Xbox)

Following it’s PC release last year, the new Microsoft Flight Simulator is headed to Xbox Series X & S on July 27th, 2021. It’ll also come to Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Then in November, there will be a free Top Gun: Maverick expansion for the game to coincide with the film’s release.

Contraband

Contraband is a new exclusive title from the Avalanche Studios, the devs behind the Just Cause series.

In the new co-op adventure, you’ll be in the smugglers paradise of the fictional world of 1970s Bayan.

Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life

Captain Jack Sparrow is making it’s way to Sea of Thieves. This new expansion features a original story with Captain Jack and his crew as they encounter Davy Jones and the high seas.

Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life is launching as free update for all players on June 22nd. It’ll also come to Xbox Game Pass at launch.

The Outer Worlds 2

Obsidian Entertainment has officially announced the sequel to their 2019 space RPG, with the The Outer Worlds 2.

No release date was announced but it’ll be coming to Xbox Series X & S and PC. It’ll also come to Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Psychonauts 2

Double Fine’s long awaited followed up now has a release date.

Here’s what the game is about:

Razputin Aquato, trained acrobat and powerful young psychic, has realized his lifelong dream of joining the international psychic espionage organization known as the Psychonauts! But these psychic super spies are in trouble. Their leader hasn’t been the same since he was kidnapped, and what’s worse, there’s a mole hiding in their headquarters. Raz must use his powers to stop the mole before they execute their secret plan—to bring the murderous psychic villain, Maligula, back from the dead.

Psychonauts 2 is coming out on August 25th, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, PS4, PS5 and PC. A Mac and Linux launch is set for a later date. It’ll also come to Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer

Microsoft showed a small tease of what’s to come with the free-to-play Halo Infinite multiplayer.

The free multiplayer will be launching alongside the main game’s campaign this holiday. No official release date has been announce yet.

Halo Infinite will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series & S and Windows 10.

Hades – August 13th, 2021 (Xbox Game Pass Day One)

Shredders – December 2021 (Xbox Game Pass Day One)
