Following a number of rumours, Twitter has officially announced their new Twitter Blue subscription service.
According to the company, the purpose of Twitter Blue “is simply meant to add enhanced and complementary features to the already existing Twitter experience for those who want it.”

Basically Twitter is aiming the service at power users. With the Twitter Blue subscription you’ll get, Undo Tweet, Bookmark Folders and Reader Mode.
As the name implies, Undo Tweet lets you unsend your tweet (up to 30 seconds after), so you can correct it. Think of it as Twitter’s answer to Gmail’s Undo Send feature.

While it’s not the Editable Tweets that so many have asked for, it is still nice to have.
Bookmark Folders lets you organize Tweets you’ve saved, to then easily access it when you need it.

Reader Mode helps make threads easier to read. The feature will turn long Twitter threads into an easy-to-read text, to easily view at once.

Twitter Blue subscribers will also get perks like customizable app icons, new colour themes and dedicated customer support.

The company has said that the free Twitter experience won’t be going away.
As for cost, Twitter Blue is launching in Canada and Australia for $3.49 CAD and $4.49 AUD per month.
