Roku gets into original programming with rebranded Quibi content

Since acquiring the content of the now-defunct Quibi, Roku has announced the launch of Roku Originals.

Roku Originals will be the name for all future original programming for The Roku Channel, where you’ll be able to watch content for free and ad-supported.

The Roku Channel is the place for incredible, free programming and we are excited to bring this premium content to the biggest screen in the home.”

Some of the Quibi content being rebranded as Roku Originals include #FreeRayshawnChrissy’s CourtDie Hart, DummyFlippedMost Dangerous Game, Punk’dReno 911!, Survive and more. 

Roku Originals will be in addition to the 25,000 free movies and shows available already on The Roku Channel.

Most recently, The Roku Channel added their Live TV Channel Guide in Canada.

The exact launch date of some of the Roku Originals will be announced in May.
