TCL expands their 20 Series with three more models

Back at CES 2021, TCL first introduced their 20 Series phones with the 20 5G & 20 SE. Now they’re growing the lineup with three more phones, the 20 Pro 5G, 20L+ and 20L.

“Our new 20 Series smartphones are outstanding examples of how TCL continues to deliver innovative technologies created to meet and exceed the needs of consumers,” said Stefan Streit, General Manager of Global Marketing at TCL Communication. “We’re constantly developing new mobile offerings designed to enhance the connection you have with your smartphone, especially while staying connected in a virtual or socially distanced world.”

The TCL 20 Pro 5G is very similar to its 20 5G counterpart. The new model features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G processor with 6GB of RAM.

The 20 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with the company’s NXTVISION technology. The display also supports HDR10.

On the software side, it’s running Android 11 with TCL’s skin on top.

There’s a 4,500 mAh battery, in-display fingerprint sensor and up to 256GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

TCL 20 Pro 5G

For cameras, the TCL 20 Pro 5G is using a 48MP standard lens Sony IMX582 sensor, 16MP ultra-wide angle, 5MP macro, 2MP depth camera along with a 32MP front camera.

The device can shoot 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60/30fps.

The TCL 20 Pro 5G comes in two colours, Moondust Gray and Marine Blue.

TCL has confirmed the 20 Pro 5G will be coming to Canada later this summer. Canadian pricing and availability to be announced closer to launch.

The phone is launching on April 15th in the United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal for €549.

TCL 20L+ (TCL 20S)

The TCL 20L+  slots below the 20 5G. The display is 6.67-inches with an FHD+ resolution and NXTVISION.

The power button doubles as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000 mAh battery.

It’s powered by a Snapdragon 662 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with a microSD card slot.

Cameras include a 64MP main lens, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth along with a 16MP selfie camera.

In terms of software, it’s running Android 11 with TCL’s skin on top.

The device comes in two colours, Milky Way Grey and North Star Blue.

TCL has said the 20L+ will be coming to Canada this summer but it’ll be branded as the 20S. Canadian pricing and availability will be announced closer to launch

The phone is launching on April 15th in the United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal for €269.

Below the 20L+ is the standard 20L, it offers a 6.67-inch FHD+.

It’ll be powered by a Snapdragon 662 processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with a microSD card slot. It’s running Android 11 with TCL’s skin on top.

The phone comes in two colours, Luna Blue and Eclipse Black.

The phone is launching on April 15th in the United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal for €229. The 20L won’t be coming to Canada.

TCL Fold ‘n Roll display concept

In addition to the three new phones, TCL is showing off their Fold ‘n Roll display concept.

The concept is meant to show TCL’s take on a rollable and foldable display, possibly for a future device.

The device can seamlessly switch between phone, phablet and tablet.

As of right now, the device is currently a concept, no actual product has been announced.
