At CES 2021, Asus made a couple of announcements under their ROG gaming brand including the new ROG Flow X13 and Zephyrus Duo 15 SE.
ROG Flow X13
The ROG Flow X13 is a 2-in-1 ultraportable gaming laptop with a 360-hinge.
You can get the laptop with an FHD 120Hz display or 4K resolution. The laptop features two down-firing speakers with Dolby Atmos.
For the GPU, the ROG Flow X13 comes with an Nvidia GTX 1650. The computer can be configured with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS Mobile to an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS Mobile processor.
Storage options include up to a 1TB SSD along with 8 or 16GB of RAM. There’s also Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
If you need more power, you can connect the ROG XG Mobile external GPU, which adds an Nvidia RTX 3080 laptop.
The ROG XG Mobile itself has 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, 1 HDMI 2.0a, 1 DisplayPort 1.4, SD card reader, Ethernet and DC input.
As for ports on the ROG Flow X13, there’s a ROG XG Mobile interface, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, an audio combo jack and an HDMI 2.0b port.
The laptop comes with a 62 Wh battery and a 100W USB-C power adapter.
Asus hasn’t announced pricing for the ROG Flow X13 but it’ll be available in Q1 in North America.
ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE
Last year, Asus introduced its first ROG laptop with a ScreenPad Plus and this year, it’s getting an update.
The main screen on the Zephyrus Duo 15 SE is a 15.6-inch display at FHD or 4K resolution. The ScreenPad Plus is 14.1-inches at the same resolutions.
For CPUs, you can get the Zephyrus Duo 15 SE with an AMD Ryzen 7 590H or Ryzen 9 5900H along with 16GB of RAM.
GPU options include an Nvidia RTX 3070 or 3080.
For storage, the laptop comes with a 1TB RAID0 SSD and another M.2 SSD slot. There’s also Wi-Fi 6 support.
Port selection includes 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI, audio jack, Ethernet and microSD card slot.
There’s a 90 Wh battery but the laptop comes with a 280W or 240W power adapter (depending on CPU) and it supports USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 up to 100W.
The Zephyrus Duo 15 SE is available for pre-order now in North America, starting at $2,899 USD.
Canadian pricing hasn’t been announced.
