Following its US launch back in September, Microsoft has announced that the Surface Duo will be coming to Canada in the coming months.
The Surface Duo isn’t a traditional foldable like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold devices but it has two 5.6-inch PixelSense Fusion Displays to create an 8.1-inch screen.
Those screens are connected by a 360-degree hinge, so you can use both displays at once or just one.
Powering the Surface Duo is the Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Battery life is around 15.5 hours of video playback time from the 3577 mAh battery.
The Surface Duo has an 11MP main lens that can record 4K 60fps/30fps videos.
The device is running Android 10 with the Microsoft Launcher and pre-installed Microsoft apps such as Office, Outlook, Teams and more.
Starting in early 2021, the Surface Duo will be available in Canada, the UK, France and Germany.
No Canadian pricing or exact release date has been announced. The device retails for $1,399 USD (around $1775 CAD) but as been discounted down to $1,199 USD.
