Disney’s Star brand is their home for Hulu, Fox and mature content

Disney has announced they’ll be launching Star as their general entertainment content brands outside the US.

This means that content from Hulu, 20th Century Studios, FX, ABC and more will available on Disney+.

It also allows for more mature content such as Logan, Die Hard, Deadpool and shows like Modern Family, Atlanta to be available on the platform.

You’ll be able to set your account profile to allow for mature content (18+) to be viewed.

The Star integration with Disney+ will be launching on February 23rd, 2021 in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Singapore.

The Star tile brand will be coming to other markets later in 2021.

Disney+ will be getting a price increase in Europe to 8.99 EUR (or local market equivalent) in February 2021.

The current price for Disney+ subscribers in Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Australia will be honoured for six months.

In addition, Disney will be launching a separate Star+ service in Latin America in June 2021.

As of December 2nd, Disney+ has surpassed 86.8 million paid subscribers.

The company has also announced that around 10 Marvel series, 10 Star Wars series, 15 Disney live-action, animation and Pixar series are in the works for Disney+ over the next few years.

There will also be 15 all-new Disney live-action, Disney Animation, and Pixar films coming to Disney+.
