Following the launch of their 2020 TVs earlier this year, LG has launched a 48-inch screen size of their flagship CX OLED TV.
The LG CX is powered by the company’s α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 intelligent processor. This processor can upscale 720p and 1080p content to 4K using AI.
The processor is also capable of recognizing faces and text on-screen and automatically fine-tune natural skin tones and well-defined facial features.
The chip also supports AI Sound Pro which will analyze and classify the audio of the content you’re watching.
Like all of LG’s TVs, the CX is running webOS 5.0 with support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.
There’s also support for Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), which is perfect for the Xbox Series X and PS5.
You can control your LG CX using your Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa via the Magic Remote’s voice control.
The 48-inch LG CX OLED TV costs $1,999 CAD and is available from Best Buy.
The LG CX also comes in 55, 65 and 77-inch screen sizes.
