Microsoft has taken the wraps off a few new Surface devices including the new Surface Laptop Go, updated Surface Pro X and some new accessories.
Surface Laptop Go
The new laptop has a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen compared to 13.5″ or 15″ on the Surface Laptop 3. The device is made from aluminum and polycarbonate, weighing just 2.45 lbs, so it should be easy to carry around.
Powering the laptop is the 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor and either 4 or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB SSD. The full-size backlit keyboard offers 1.3mm of key travel and there’s a new power button with a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello.
Microsoft says you can expect up to 13 hours of battery life and it has fast charging support to get you 80% in just one hour.

Ports include one USB-C, one USB-A, headphone jack and Surface Connect. There’s also Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 720p webcam.
The Surface Laptop Go comes in a few colours, Ice Blue, Sandstone and Platnium. The laptop is available for pre-order today, starting at $759 CAD and launching on October 13th.
Surface Pro X (2020)

Microsoft first introduced its Surface Pro X last year, and it was the company’s first device with its SQ 1 chip. Now, Microsoft is giving the Surface Pro X and spec boost with its new SQ 2 chip.

The SQ 2 chip is designed to offer more multi-tasking power for better productivity. You can configure the new Surface Pro X with 8 or 16GB of RAM and up to a 512GB SSD.
Battery life is around 15 hours and there are two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, Surface Connect and a Surface Keyboard connector port.
The design of the Surface Pro X hasn’t changed and still features a 13-inch PixelSense touch display. The front camera supports Windows Hello and while the new laptop got Wi-Fi 6, the Surface Pro X still has Wi-Fi 5 support.

The updated Surface Pro X comes in Platinum and Matte Black colours. And the keyboard for the Surface Pro X comes in three colours, Ice Blue, Poppy Red and Platinum.
The Surface Pro X starts at $1,349 CAD and begins shipping on October 13th.

In addition to the new devices, Microsoft also announced a few new accessories including:
