Disney and Lucasfilm have announced that season 2 of The Mandalorian will debut on October 30th.
According to Disney,
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The show was created by Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as executive producer. The show was written and produced by Favreau and Filoni.
The first season of the show included episodes directed by Favreau, Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow, Bryce Dallas Howard and Taikia Waititi (who also voiced IG-88).
Season 1 of The Mandalorian received positive reviews from critics and was nominated for 15 Emmys across cinematography, score, costumes to special effects and especially one for Outstanding Drama Series.
Just like the first season, the second season of the show will air weekly on Fridays on Disney+, starting October 30th.
Season One of The Mandalorian is now streaming, as well as the behind-the-scenes docu-series Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian.
A third season of The Mandalorian is currently in the works.
