Motorola has announced a new version of its foldable Razr.
The new phone is powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor with 5G support and 6GB of RAM. For storage, there’s 256GB but no microSD card slot.
The main folding screen is 6.2-inches. The front Quick View display is still 2.7-inches but can now be used to access notifications, your apps and even make calls and reply to texts.
Motorola says the hinge on the Razr can withstand up to 200,000 flips, which is around 100 flips a day for 5 years.
The body of the new Razr is now made from 7000 series aluminum and polished 3D glass. The fingerprint sensor is now on the back of the phone where the Motorola logo is.
The battery in the new Razr is 2800 mAh and the main camera has been upgraded to a 48MP sensor. The selfie camera is 20MP.
The new Razr also comes in three colours, Polished Graphite, Liquid Mercury, and Blush Gold.
In terms of availability in Canada, Motorola said the following,
There are currently no plans to offer the new Razr in Canada. However, we’re always listening to our consumers and assessing what is best for the market.
But if you’re in the US, you’ll be able to pick up the new Razr this fall from AT&T, T-Mobile, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Amazon.com and Motorola.com for $1,399 USD.
