The battery in the Velvet is 4,300 mAh with fast charging and wireless charging support. The phone also comes Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, IP68 water and dust resistance and Android 10 with LG’s UI on top. There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor.

For cameras, the Velvet has a 48MP standard lens, 8MP wide and 5MP depth sensor. The front camera on the phone is 16MP.

The phone will be available from the following retailers and carriers in Canada.

The LG Velvet will be launching on August 7th with pre-orders beginning today from LG’s website. If you pre-order the Velvet between July 16th and August 6th, you’ll get a $200 CAD Visa gift card and LG’s Tone Free (FN6) wireless earbuds.

The company hasn’t announced Canadian pricing yet but Bell’s website says it’ll retail for $750 CAD off-contract. While Freedom Mobile is offering the LG Velvet for $600 CAD off-contract.

Update – August 7th, 2020: The LG Velvet is now available in Canada. Most carriers in Canada are offering the Velvet on a $0 contract rather than outright/off-contract.
