Ubisoft’s Hyper Scape officially launches on August 11th

Ubisoft has announced that their battle royale will be exiting out of beta in August.

According to Ubisoft, here’s what the game is about:

Hyper Scape is an urban, fast-paced, free-to-play battle royale game developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Set in the virtual city of Neo-Arcadia, up to 100 players face each other to become champion of the Hyper Scape. Bringing a fresh take on the battle royale genre, Hyper Scape is a fast-paced experience that introduces innovative gameplay mechanics such as Hacks, the Fusion, the Decay, the Showdown and many others.

“While the game has already been accessible on PC since our first test phase, Season One is for us the true launch of Hyper Scape,” says Graeme Jennings, Senior Producer for Hyper Scape at Ubisoft Montréal. “We have leveraged our test periods to develop and release frequent updates, notably on the global balance. With those updates we are now ready to welcome console players into the mix, with lots of new content to enjoy.”

The game is currently in open beta on PC until August 2nd. The first season of Hyper Scape will bring a new mid-range weapon called the Dragonfly, a new hack called Magnet.

There’s a total of 11 guns and 11 hacks in Hyper Scape Season One. The game will feature two modes, Solo and Squad Crown Rush with additional limited-time game modes coming in Season One.

And to thank players who have played the beta or watch a stream of the game on Twitch for at least one hour, you’ll get 600 Bitcrowns (which is the game’s in-game currency).

These Bitcrowns can be used to purchase the Battle Pass, which unlocks free and a premium track and features 100 tiers of exclusive cosmetic items to unlock during the Season.

The Season One Battle Pass for Hyper Scape costs 950 Bitcrowns. You can earn Bitcrowns by playing the game or by purchasing packs of Bitcrowns with real money.

Hyper Scape is launching on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on August 11th.
