After being teased for weeks, OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus Nord phone and OnePlus Buds.
OnePlus Nord

The Nord has a 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution and 408 PPI and 90Hz refresh rate like the OnePlus 8. There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor just like past OnePlus phones.

Powering the OnePlus Nord is the Snapdragon 765G processor with 8 or 12GB of RAM. There’s also 128 or 256GB of storage along with a 4,115 mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging.
“The OnePlus Nord is an important milestone for OnePlus, as we always look for new ways to share the best technology with more people around the world. We are excited to finally bring a more accessible OnePlus smartphone that confidently stands alongside other products in the OnePlus family,” said Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus. “The OnePlus Nord combines a flagship camera along with our signature features such as the 90 Hz Fluid Display, OxygenOS, and Warp Charge 30T to deliver a best-in-class smartphone experience.”
For cameras, the OnePlus Nord has a 48MP main lens, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP depth and 2MP macro lens. There are two front cameras, a 32MP main lens and 8MP ultra-wide.

The OnePlus Nord is running Oxygen OS based on Android 10 with the company promising two years of software updates and three years of security updates.
The OnePlus Nord will be launching in two colours, Blue Marble and Gray Onyx.

Pricing is as follows:
- 64GB Storage/6GB RAM – 24999 INR (Only launching in India in early September)
- 128GB Storage/8GB RAM – 379 GBP / 399 Euros / 27999 INR
- 256GB Storage/12GB RAM – 469 GBP / 499 Euros / 29999 INR
While the phone won’t be launching in North America, it will be coming to Europe and India on August 4th.
OnePlus is going to be offering a beta program for users in Canada and the US, which you can sign up here. There are only 50 spots in the program.
OnePlus Buds

In addition to the new affordable phone, OnePlus is launching its first true wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds.

“The OnePlus Buds are our first true wireless earbuds and a key step in the development of our connected ecosystem,” said Pete Lau, founder and CEO of OnePlus. “Users will enjoy the OnePlus Buds’ quality sound, Warp Charge capabilities, long battery life and seamless connection to keep their phone
calls, music and podcasts playing effortlessly while on the go.”
The OnePlus Buds uses three active microphones in each earbud to reduce ambient noise. The Buds don’t offer noise isolation or active noise cancellation but do have 13.4mm dynamic drivers along with Bass Boost and Dolby Atmos support.

The OnePlus Buds are IPX4 water-resistant and have features such as auto-on/off sensors, Fast Pair support and customizations for button taps.
The earbuds last around 7 hours on a single charge and the case has 30 hours of playback time. The Buds also come with OnePlus’ Warp Charging technology, this allows you to charge the earbuds for 10 mins and giving you 10 hours of playback time.
The Buds will be available in Gray and White. The Nord Blue Buds will only be available in Europe and India (the same markets as the OnePlus Nord).
The OnePlus Buds will cost $109 CAD ($79 USD) and launch on July 27th.
