Shortly after delaying the game a second time, CD Projekt Red has shown off new gameplay for their open-world, action-adventure RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.
During the Night City Wire video series, CD Projekt Red gave us a first look at a new feature in the game called braindance.
With the braindance feature, you’ll be able to enter other characters’ memories and freely look around at past events and investigate them.
The braindance sections of the game will help enhance and get a better insight into the characters of Night City and the story of Cyberpunk 2077.
In addition to the new gameplay, the company also showed off a new trailer for the game.
Here’s CD Projekt Red description for the game:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where your choices shape the story and the world around you.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 19th with a Stadia version coming later. The game will also be playable on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at a later date.
Owners of the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game will be able to get a free upgrade to the next-gen versions.
CD Projekt Red also announced that a new original anime series based set in the same universe is coming to Netflix.
The series is about:
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
The series will be done by Japan-based animation studio, Studio Trigger.

Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) will direct the series along with assistant director Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Promare), creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill), character designers Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal) and Yuto Kaneko (Little Witch Academia), and the adapted screenplay by Yoshiki Usa (SSSS.GRIDMAN, Promare) and Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare). The original score will be composed by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series).
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is set debut in 2022.
