Back at D23 2019, Disney announced a new Muppets TV series was coming to Disney+ and now we have a release date.
According to Disney, Muppets Now is The Muppets Studio’s first original series for Disney+. In the six-episode season, Scooter rushes to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. They are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him.
In true Muppets fashion, the series will be filled “with spontaneous lunacy, surprising guest stars and more frogs, pigs, bears (and whatever).”
All six episodes of Muppets Now premieres on Disney+ on July 31st in Canada, the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and India.
Since it’s launch, Disney+ has 54.5 million subscribers.
Disney+ is set to launch in Japan in June followed by Belgium, Denmark Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Sweden this September. The service will arrive in Brazil in November and the rest of Latin America later this year.
