After two years since launching in the US, Amazon has finally brought their Echo Auto to more countries including Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Essentially, the Echo Auto allows you to add Alexa voice controls to your car. You’ll be able to play music, check the weather and access a number of Alexa skills with the Echo Auto.
The device itself has an activation button, mic mute button and 8 microphones and Amazon’s far-field technology to help Alexa hear you better over music, the A/C blasting and road noise.
Connecting to the Echo Auto is fairly straightforward, just plug the device via the aux input or using your smartphone’s Bluetooth connection. A vent mount for the Echo Auto is also included.
Since the Echo Auto’s launch, a number of companies have come out with their own voice assistant in the car device such as the Anker Roav Bolt with the Google Assistant.
The Echo Auto is available in Canada for $70 CAD, the UK for £50 and in Spain, Italy and Germany for €60.
