Dell refreshed its XPS and Alienware PCs and introduced a new XPS 17 for 2020.
Dell XPS 15 (9500)

The new XPS 15 for 2020 takes elements from the recent XPS 13. The laptop has a 15.6-inch display at either FHD+ or 4K resolution (with 100% Adobe RGB, Dolby Vision and HDR).
Powering the new XPS 15 is up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and up to Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti GPU. The battery is either 56WHr or 86WHr and battery life is up to 25 hours on the FHD+ model.
In terms of ports, the XPS 15 has 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 3, 1 USB-C 3.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, SD card slot and the laptop comes with a USB-C to USB-A 3.0/HDMI adapter.
For storage, it can be configured up to a 1TB SSD and up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. There’s also Wi-Fi 6 and Windows Hello login support.
The new XPS 15 is available now and starts at $1,699 CAD ($1,299 USD).
Dell XPS 17 (9700)

It’s been a while since Dell updated the XPS 17 (the last model was released in 2011) but the laptop it back for 2020. The laptop shares a similar design to Dell’s other XPS laptops like the new XPS 15 and XPS 13.

The XPS 17 has a 17-inch FHD+ or 4K display with 100% Adobe RGB and Dolby Vision. For battery, the XPS 17 has a 56WHr or a 97WH which lasts all day.
Powering the new XPS 17 is up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10-885H processor with up to 64GB of RAM. There’s also up to a 1TB SSD.
In terms of ports, the XPS 15 has 4 USB-C Thunderbolt 3, 3.5mm headphone jack, SD card slot and the laptop comes with a USB-C to USB-A 3.0/HDMI adapter.
For GPUs, you can option the XPS 17 with an Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti or RTX 2060.
The new XPS 17 is available now and starts at $1,999 CAD ($1,499 USD).
Alienware Area-51m R2

The Alienware Area-51m was announced back at CES 2019 and now it’s getting an update for 2020.
The Area-51m R2 still features a 17.3-inch display with FHD 144Hz and 300Hz and 4K 60Hz options available.
Powering the laptop is the 10th Gen Intel chips with up to an i9-10900K and up to 64GB of RAM. You can configure the laptop with up to a 4TB RAID0 dual storage arrangement or 2TB single storage.
GPU options include the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti, RTX 2060, 2070 Super and 2080 Super.
The laptop comes in Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon colour options.
The Area-51m R2 is available now and starts at $5,949 CAD ($3,049 USD).
Alienware m15 R3

The new Alienware m15 R3 offers a 15.6-inch FHD or OLED 4K display with FHD 300Hz options available.
Powering the Alienware m15 R3 is the 10th Gen Intel Core processors up to an i9 and up to 32GB of RAM. Storage can be optioned up to 4TB RAID0 Plus.
The laptop still weights up to 2.5 Kgs (5.5 lbs). You can get the Alienware m15 R3 with up to an Nvidia 2080 Super GPU.
The Alienware m15 R3 starts at $2,249 CAD ($1,499 USD) and is available now.
Alienware m17 R3

If you need a slightly bigger option, there’s the new Alienware m17 R3.
It’s like the new m15 but comes with a 17.3-inch display with FHD and 4K resolutions. Powering the Alienware m17 R3 is the 10th Gen Intel chips with up to an Nvidia RTX 2080 Super.
The laptop weighs around 2.97 Kgs (6.55 lbs). The Alienware m17 R3 starts $2,399 CAD ($1,549 USD) and is available now.
Alienware Aurora R11
After getting a design overhaul last year, Dell is updating the internals of their Aurora desktop for 2020.
The new Aurora R11 keeps the Alienware Legend design language but now comes with 10th Gen Intel with up to an i9-10900KF and up to 64GB of RAM.
For GPUs, your options include single or dual graphics with up to dual Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti GPUs.
There’s also 2TB SSD/2TB 7200RPM SATA HDD storage options for the desktop. The desktop is 33.8L is volume and comes in Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon colours.
The Aurora R11 desktop starts at $1,299 CAD ($1,129 USD) and is available now.
Dell will be adding more configs for the Aurora R11 on May 28th and those start as low as $879 USD.
Dell G3 15 (3500)

Dell’s G series gaming laptops have also been updated. The new G3 15 (3500) uses 10th Gen Intel chips up to an i7-10750H, up to 16GB of RAM and up to a 1TB SSD.
The Dell G3 15 has a 15-inch at FHD with up to 144Hz refresh rate. For GPUs, the new G3 15 can be optioned with up to an Nvidia RTX 2060.
The new G3 15 is available now and starts at $1,099 CAD ($779 USD).
Dell G5 15 (5500)

The G5 15 also comes with 10th Gen Intel with up to the i7-10750H and up to 16GB of RAM but it supports up to 32GB. Storage options include up to dual 512GB SSDs.
The display on the G5 15 is 15-inches and FHD resolution. For GPUs, the G5 15 can be configured with an Nvidia RTX 2070 Max-Q.
The new G5 15 is available now and starts at $1,299 CAD ($829 USD).
