During an online event, OnePlus has officially taken the wraps off its OnePlus 8 series of phones.

Just as rumours have suggested, there are two devices in the OnePlus 8 series, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

OnePlus 8 Pro

The OnePlus 8 Pro has a 6.78-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate (up from 90Hz) and 1440 x 3120 resolution. The display supports HDR10+.

The phone is running the latest version of OxygenOS based on Android 10.

There are four cameras on the OnePlus 8 Pro including a 48MP standard, 48MP ultra-wide, 8MP telephoto and 5MP colour filter lens. The front camera is 16MP.

You can shoot up to 4K video at 60fps on the OnePlus 8 Pro. Just like last year’s OnePlus 7 series, the OnePlus 8 Pro has an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock support.

In addition to the OnePlus 8 series, the company announced a cheaper version of the wireless earphones with the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z.

The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z comes in multiple colours, Glacial Green, Ultramarine Blue, Oat (aka Gold) and Onyx Black.

There will go for $69.95 CAD ($49.95 USD).
