LG V60 ThinQ 5G comes to Canada on April 9th [Update: Now available]

LG Canada has announced when its latest V series device, the V60 ThinQ 5G is coming to Canada.

“The introduction of 5G to Canada will create a new standard for speed and connectivity and forever change the way we work,” said Varun Kalia, Head of Mobile at LG Electronics Canada. “As the 5G network is rolled out across Canada, the new LG V60ThinQ 5G will help ensure Canadians are prepared for the future.”

The V60 ThinQ is running the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with Qualcomm’s X55 5G modem. There’s also 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot.

For cameras, the V60 ThinQ has three of them, one 64MP standard that uses Pixel Binning to 16MP, 13MP Super-Wide and a Z Camera (which is LG’s ToF Camera). You can record up to 8K video on the V60’s camera.

The V60 ThinQ’s screen is a 6.8-inch FHD+ P-OLED FullVision display with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 and 395 PPI.

The device features an in-display fingerprint reader, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, headphone jack, LG 3D Sound Engine, HDR10+ support and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Just like the G8X ThinQ last year, the V60 ThinQ comes with LG’s Dual Screen attachment that adds a second 6.8-inch screen with a 360 Freestop Hinge.

The V60 ThinQ comes with a massive 5,000 mAh battery that should easily last all-day. The device is also running Android 10 out of the box with LG’s skin on top.

For a limited time, customers that purchase the V60 ThinQ will get a pair of LG’s Tone Free Bluetooth wireless earbuds, while supplies last.

The LG V60 ThinQ will be available from Bell, The Source, Telus and Koodoo on April 9th. The phone will be available in a Classy Blue colour option. The Classy White option for the V60 is for other select regions.

The V60 ThinQ goes for $1,100 to $1,299 outright or as low as $0 on a 2-year plan. Full pricing details are below.
