After being announced in February, Samsung’s latest flagship devices, the Galaxy S20 series has now officially launched in Canada.
The Galaxy S20 has a 6.2-inch Dynamic Infinity-O Display, the Galaxy S20+ has a 6.7-inch screen and the Galaxy S20 Ultra has a 6.9-inch display.
Powering the S20 series is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with 12GB or 16GB of RAM (depending on storage). There’s also 128GB or 512GB of storage plus a microSD card slot.
In terms of cameras, the S20 comes with a triple-camera setup of a 12MP wide-angle, 64MP telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide.
The S20+ has the same cameras like the S20 but adds a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra has a 108MP wide-angle lens, 48MP telephoto, 12MP ultra-wide and Time-of-Flight sensor).

For battery life, the S20 has a 4,000 mAh battery, S20+ comes with a 4,500 mAh and the S20 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery.
All three phones are running Android 10 with Samsung One UI 2.0. There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor on each model.
The Galaxy S20 comes in Cosmic Grey and Cloud Blue, while the S20+ is offered in Cloud Blue and Cosmic Black. The Galaxy S20 Ultra is offered in Cosmic Grey and Cosmic Black (which is a Samsung Store Exclusive).

Outright/off-contract Canadian pricing is as follows:
- Galaxy S20 (128GB) – $1,319 CAD
- Galaxy S20+ (128GB) – $1,579 CAD
- Galaxy S20+ (512GB) – $1,779 CAD
- Galaxy S20 Ultra (128GB) – $1,849 CAD
- Galaxy S20 Ultra (512GB) – $2,109 CAD
The Galaxy S20 series will be available from Bell, Rogers, Telus, Fido, Freedom Mobile, Virgin Mobile, SaskTel, Videotron and Koodo.
In addition to the Galaxy S20 phones, the company launched their Galaxy Buds+.
They offer up to 11 hours of music playback, 7.5 hours of talk time. The charging case adds 60 minutes of playback in just three minutes.
There are also 3 mics for Noise Isolation, Sound by AKG and comes in Blue, Black and White colour options.
The Galaxy Buds+ will cost $199 CAD and are available from Samsung’s website, Samsung Experience Stores and major retailers across Canada.
If you pre-ordered a S20 device before March 5th, you would have gotten the Galaxy Buds+ for free.
