Logitech’s Ultimate Ears brand has unveiled their latest Bluetooth speaker with the Hyperboom.
“With HYPERBOOM, we’re taking our signature Ultimate Ears sound and making it bigger and louder than ever to get whole rooms of people on their feet dancing,” said Mindy Fournier, head of product management at Ultimate Ears. “Starting with beautifully rich sound, thumping bass and phenomenal dynamic range at any level, we added party-ready features like easy music sharing, adaptive EQ and up to 24 hours of battery life so you can rock any party, in any room, and have the perfect soundtrack playing throughout the night.”
The company says the Hyperboom is their “loudest and bassiest speaker yet” and about three times louder and six times the bass of their Megaboom 3 speaker.
Battery life on the Hyperboom is around 24 hours with a full charge taking about 2 hours or so. There’s also a microphone for the adaptive EQ.
Logitech calls their Hyperboom speaker “party-proof” since it’s IPX4 water-resistant. Meaning it can survive splashes of water or drink spills.
On the top of the speaker, you’ll a set of volume buttons, power button and One-Touch Music Control to play, pause and skip tracks. You’ll even be able to launch your favourite playlists from Apple Music, Spotify (on Android only), Amazon Music Unlimited and Deezer Premium.
The Hyperboom can be connected up to two devices over Bluetooth and comes with a 3.5mm aux jack and optical audio. There’s also a built-in USB port to charge your phone.
The UE Hyperboom is set to launch in early March for $499 CAD ($399 USD). Pre-orders for the speaker are available now from the UE website.
