Huawei has unveiled an updated version of their foldable device with the Mate Xs.
Huawei Mate Xs

When unfolded, the Mate Xs has a 8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2480 x 2200. The main screen is 6.6-inches and the secondary display is 6.38-inches.

Powering the Mate Xs is the company’s Kirin 990 5G Octa-core processor with a 16-core Mali G76 GPU and Dual Big Core & Tiny Core NPUs (Neural Processing Unit).

The device is running Huawei’s EMUI 10.0.1 based on Android 10. It comes with 512GB of storage and 8GB of RAM with a nano-memory card slot for up to 256GB more.

The cameras on the Mate Xs include a Leica Quad Camera system with one 40MP Wide Angle Lens, a 16MP Ultra-Wide Angle lens, 8MP Telephoto and ToF camera. The main cameras also double as the selfie camera when folded.
The battery is 4,500 mAh and should last all-day. If you do need a charger, the device support Huawei’s SuperCharge 55W charging.

Huawei hasn’t said whether or not the Mate Xs will be coming to Canada but it will be launching outside of China. It has been confirmed to launch in Europe for €2,499 in March.
Since the Mate Xs and other recent Android Huawei devices don’t’ ship with Google’s Play services, Huawei has launched its AppGallery.
AppGallery is like other app stores with a wide selection of apps. It also has a feature called Quick Apps that are installation-free apps that saves you both battery and storage space.
Huawei MatePad Pro

Alongside the Mate Xs, Huawei also showed off the MatePad Pro. It comes with a 10.8-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1660 and just 7.2mm thin.
Powering the tablet is the Kirin 990 5G processor and there’s both 27W wireless charging, 40W wired charging and reverse wireless charging.

The company will be launching both 4G and 5G variants of the MatePad Pro.
Canadian availability for the MatePad Pro is to be confirmed but it will be launching in April for €599 for the 4G model and €799 for the 5G model.
Huawei MateBook X Pro (2020)

Huawei’s laptop also got an update with 10th Gen Intel Core processors, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, a 13.9-inch screen with a 3000 x 2000 resolution and peak brightness of 450 nits.
The new MateBook X Pro starts at €1,499 and comes in Emerald Green, Mystic Silver and Space Grey.
Huawei P40 and P40 Pro Launch

The P40 and P40 Pro are rumoured to come with a 10x optical zoom camera, 52MP Sony camera sensor, 5G support and around 5 colour options.
