CD Projekt Red’s highly anticipated game Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed.
The developer took to Twitter to break the news, which you can see below:
The game was first announced back in May 2012 with the first teaser being released in January 2013. Cyberpunk 2077 follows on the heels of the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which released back in May 2015.
According to CD Projekt Red:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where your choices shape the story and the world around you.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now set to be released on November 19th, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC with a Google Stadia version to come later.
Update – June 18th, 2020: CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed again to November 19th, 2020. You can find out more here.
