Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics need a bit more time to assemble their Marvel’s Avengers game by delaying the release by four months.
Co-heads of Crystal Dynamics, Scot Amos and Ron Rosenberg issued a statement which you can read below:
Marvel’s Avengers had an original story that had you play as your favourite Avenger along with three friends. It was officially revealed back at E3 2019 after years of fan anticipation.
The Avengers game will feature the voice talents of video game veterans such as Troy Baker (who will play Bruce Banner/Hulk), Nolan North (as Tony Stark/Iron Man), Laura Bailey (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Travis Willingham (as Thor) and Jeff Schine (as Steve Rogers/Captain America).
The game is set to be the first game to come out of Marvel and Square Enix’s multi-year deal to produce games on Marvel properties.
Marvel’s Avengers is now releasing on September 4th, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It was previously set to release on May 15th.
